Change Tourist Visa to NON-B Visa Under the Company

Documents for filing a request or requesting to change the type of visa to work in a company or limited partnership type B

(Note: Not exceeding 90 days allowed, with a minimum remaining period of 15 days. If staying longer than this, you will be unable to file a request.)

The 3-Step Non-B Visa Process

The visa change process involves a coordinated effort between you and your sponsoring company. Follow these three stages for a successful application.

1. Applicant Prepares

Gather your passport, photos, application form (TM.86), and the 2,000 baht fee.

2. Company Prepares

The employer compiles all corporate, tax documents (PND.50, PND.1, Por.Por.30), financials, and the 6-7 required photos.

3. Joint Submission

Submit the complete package to the Thai Immigration Bureau. Must be done with 15+ days remaining on your current visa.

Required Documents Checklist

  1. Application for changing visa type (Form TM. 86 only for foreigners who have Tourist Visa and Transit Visa) or Visa Application Form (Form TM.87, only for foreigners without a visa).
  2. Copy of passport (Photocopy of pages with personal information, visa marks, inbound stamps, stamped marks for permission to stay (if any), and Immigration TM. 6 Card).
  3. Photo size 4 x 6 cm. or 2-inch (1 photo).
  4. Fee 2,000 Baht.
  5. Letter explaining the necessity of employment of foreigners and requesting cooperation in obtaining or request to change the type of visa (addressed to the Commander of the Immigration Bureau).
  6. Employment certificate (According to the Department of Employment form).
  7. A copy of the juristic person registration certificate and the name list of shareholders (Bor. Or. j 5). A copy of the ID card of every director of the company (Directors must sign and stamp).
  8. Copy of the registration certificate (Directors must sign and stamp).
  9. Copy of VAT registration (Por. Por. 20), Por.Por.01, capital increase memorandum of association (If there is a capital increase, directors must sign and stamp).
  10. A copy of the latest balance sheet of the profit and loss account (Directors must sign and stamp every copy).
  11. A copy of corporate income tax (PND. 50) (All directors must sign and stamp the copy).
  12. A copy of the transcript of the education form of the Immigration Bureau (TM. 4).
  13. Copy of personal income tax of Thai employees (Income Tax Form Por. Ngor. Dor. 1) for the past 3 months, with a copy of the ID card of all Thai employees (Directors must sign and stamp).
  14. Pictures of the company showing the building, company name tag, working conditions with employees working, and desks showing work characteristics (6-7 images).
  15. Copy of Por. Ph. 30 (VAT Return), amount 6 months or if less than 6 months, show as much as available.
  16. If PND 50 (page 5, line 3) does not have utility bills, show the rental contract, fuel bill, electricity bill, and telephone bill.
